Oh, I so enjoyed my reunion with Kaylee and Talree.Kaylee is expecting and has the wonderful personality that goes with it. She'scranky, tired and so ready for this to be over with. Stress should be avoided late in pregnancy, but apparently Kaylee's usual penchant for attracting trouble didn't get the memo.
The vendetta between the�Coletti and the Shani Queen, as well as some unknown traitors, gets pretty heated and Kaylee is in the middle of it. Of course. The usual sense of humor was used as in the previous books, which I personally totally enjoy.
This book is a�keeper.

Ienjoyed this book so much that I stayed up all night to read it. The snarkyhumor kept me laughing throughout the book even while dealing with serioustopics like kidnappings, child birth during battle, and the carnage rendered byintergalactic megalomaniac psychopaths. Kaylee is an awesome heroine who nevergives up.

This book sucked me in, had me reading inline at the store and sneaking pages in between my daily chores. If you haven'tread the first one with this couple, this book does some flashbacks to catchyou up. It is not necessary to read in sequence, but really, why wouldn't youas they are sexy, humorous, and full of non stop action. As I was lucky enoughto read the first story for these characters the flashbacks served asreminders, like catching up with good friends and remembering when. Only buythis if you like snarkiness, adventure, and some hot and sexy times.... :)

Disappointing Re-Write of Just My Luck

If you never got to read Just My Luck before it went out of print, then you'll probably love this book. If, like me, you did get to read the first book in the series then Just Desserts is a huge disappointment. I feel like I was tricked into buying the same book twice so much of this book is flashbacks from the first. Sadly, the parts that are new felt very rushed and were not written nearly as well as the other books in the series. Most of the new parts you can also find excerpted on the author's Facebook page, so there was exceedingly little I hadn't read in one form or another in this book before buying it. A complete waste of $6. I usually love the series and hope the next book isn't just a revamp of book 2 (also now out of print). If the next book is another rewrite, I'll be skipping it.

Sexy! Fast paced action! Filled with literally laugh out loud moments! All around excellent book.

What can I say? I LOVE Gail's books. She is my go to author when I want something funny, action packed and sexy… with smart sassy heroines and delicious alpha heroes. Just My Luck is my favorite book by her so I was excited when she chose to write Just Desserts. The hero and heroine are the same. To answer another reviewer.... Yes, this book has some flashbacks (which I guesstimate take up less then 25% of the book) but to the majority of readers (who haven't had the pleasure of reading Just My Luck, which is out of print) these flashbacks are necessary to give a framework to the story and let us know about Kaylee’s and Talree’s history. ( FYI, I estimate this book is about 25% longer than her last one which more than makes up for the flashbacks.) I started reading Gail's books with Vexing Voss. I fell in love and hunted her down on the internet. I spent the next several months entering every contest she had trying to win the first 2 Coletti books. (She does a lot of contests.) With fanatical persistence I was very lucky and won them. After reading them she became one of my favorite authors. I stayed up until 3am reading Just Desserts last night and am exhausted today. It was worth every second of sleep I lost. EVERY SECOND! I woke my husband up several times LOL. Talking about LOL...There is a scene with Bey, Soulet and Hank that I loved. You’ll know it when you read it. I also loved Thor. Kaylee’s baby. He was much more like a precocious three year old than a new born. Also, the way the Queen was handled couldn't get any better. First thing I did this morning is start reading it again. You know a book is good when right after you finish it you want to read it again. You know it is excellent when it still makes you laugh the second time around. It has knocked Vexing Voss out of second place in my list of favorite books by Gail Koger. LOVED it! ADORED it! Wonderful addition to the Coletti Warlords series.

So snarky and wonderful. I just couldn't keep from laughing from the beginning to the end of this book. I love how much crap or snit she gets into from just breathing the air. I Love Love also how we see how her interaction with her FIL and other characters that I have come to love ( bey) especially. I just snicker everytime I hear what he has to say. This series is just wonderful and I really recommend you all give it a try. .
